The 2025 Kia Sportage also offers five high-level intelligent driving functions rarely seen among joint-venture models in the same class: HDA Highway Driving Assist, NSCC-Z/C Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, BCW Blind-Spot Collision Warning, RCCA Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, and SEW Safe Exit Warning, achieving all-scenario safety protection covering parking spaces and parking lots, urban and rural roads, and city and highway driving. With high-level intelligent driving capability rivaling new energy vehicles in the same class, it comprehensively safeguards travel safety.
Supercharged performance, fuel or electric, three golden powertrains, the only one in its class
The 2025 Kia Sportage is the only model in its class to offer three golden powertrains: 1.5T, 2.0T, and 2.0L HEV. The gasoline series comes standard with an 8AT transmission, while the hybrid series is equipped with a 6AT transmission, meeting users' diverse needs for power performance.
The 1.5T-GDI engine adopts Kia's globally exclusive fourth-generation CVVD technology, capable of achieving the superior effects of Atkinson, Otto, and Miller combustion cycles, further improving engine operating efficiency and delivering class-leading power output for a 1.5T with a maximum horsepower of 200Ps and maximum torque of 253N·m. Paired with an 8AT transmission that is highly efficient, fuel-saving, and more reliable, the vehicle's power and energy-saving performance are comprehensively improved.

The 2.0T-GDI engine delivers strong performance, with a maximum horsepower of 236Ps and maximum torque of 353N·m. It can reach maximum torque output at just 1500rpm, and its horsepower output range spans 5000rpm, giving the 2.0T model a 0-100km/h acceleration performance of 7.8s. It is not only faster off the line, but also has more than enough power in the latter stages, fully satisfying users' pursuit and expectations of high performance.
The 2.0L HEV version is equipped with the globally leading TMED hybrid system, which has a maximum power of 200Ps and maximum torque of 350N·m, with a WLTC combined fuel consumption of 5.6L/100km. Combined with motor-only drive during startup and low-speed driving, it delivers a driving experience that balances power, energy efficiency, and quietness.
It is worth mentioning that the 2025 Kia Sportage is equipped with higher-standard front MacPherson and rear multi-link independent suspension, and the 2.0T version can also be optionally equipped with an electronic on-demand all-wheel-drive system, which can automatically judge and actively change the driving force of the front and rear wheels. Combined with further optimized body weight distribution, steering and braking systems, and body rigidity, the 2.0T AWD version achieves a high-energy driving experience comparable to that of a sports sedan.
Extra-large space, luxury experience, comprehensively class-leading ride quality
The 2025 Kia Sportage is built on Kia's globally leading third-generation i-GMP platform, featuring class-leading comfortable space, a quieter cabin with a higher standard in its class, and a higher-level luxury sensory experience in its class, achieving class-above ride quality comparable to luxury models. At the same time, the new vehicle follows global unified manufacturing standards and adopts a three-layer longitudinal beam structure design, connecting a high-strength steel four-sided frame with the main longitudinal beams to form a cage structure, building a stronger and more secure safety body and laying a high-quality foundation for a global SUV.
Thanks to the i-GMP platform's redesign of the body structure and optimization of the engine compartment layout, the 2025 Kia Sportage has a short front overhang and long wheelbase, giving a compact SUV with a body length of 4,670mm an ultra-long wheelbase of 2,755mm. With a wheelbase-to-length ratio of 59%, it achieves class-leading headroom and legroom. Combined with 545L of trunk space and hidden compartment storage design, it delivers spacious and flexible passenger and cargo space comparable to a mid-size SUV.

In addition, thanks to the optimized layout of the chassis system, the use of double-layer sound-insulating glass with added acoustic film, built-in sound-absorbing materials in the A/B pillars, and optimization of the engine pulley structure, the 2025 Kia Sportage significantly suppresses road noise, wind noise, acceleration noise, and idle vibration. It has a quieter cabin with a higher standard in its class. Paired with high-end features such as rear quilted leather seats with a high-angle seating design and heating function, an intelligent air purification system, and a Harman Kardon premium audio system supporting ASD virtual engine sound, it creates a high-quality experience comparable to that of a luxury car.
To meet Chinese users' expectations for personalized smart mobility, the 2025 Kia Sportage is also equipped with Kia Connect&Baidu Smart Connectivity System 3.0, standard 12.3-inch vivid instrument cluster and multimedia touchscreen, and provides intelligent features such as voice recognition, real-time online navigation, remote control, car-home interconnection, and OTA upgrades. At the same time, CarLife also supports many localized apps such as iQIYI and QQ Music, enabling richer smart travel scenarios and allowing users to enjoy a highly intelligent life with multi-scenario connectivity among "people, car, and home."

In terms of exterior, the 2025 Kia Sportage inherits Kia's all-new "Opposites United" design philosophy, applies "Bold for Nature" design elements, and, in response to the aesthetic needs of Chinese consumers, is developed on the basis of the globally high-spec X-Line version, creating a more powerful and dynamic exterior design and shaping an interior style that combines premium feel and technological sense. With an aesthetic realm of futuristic sensibility, it fully displays the aesthetic charm of an urban SUV.

Since the brand was founded more than 80 years ago, Kia has consistently upheld the brand philosophy of standing on technology and putting quality first, continuously providing quality mobility services to global consumers. In 2024, with a record-high global sales volume of nearly 3.09 million units, Kia helped Hyundai Kia remain firmly among the world's top three automakers. As Kia's "global sales champion," the Sportage, with a global annual sales volume of nearly 590,000 units, has become Kia's global calling card for high value and high quality. Now, while inheriting 32 years of quality genes, the 2025 Kia Sportage will refresh the value ceiling of joint-venture compact SUVs with supercharged power, stunning intelligence, enjoyable space, and sensory design, bringing Chinese users a travel experience far beyond expectations.
