In February 2025, BYD launched its "Intelligent Driving for All" strategy, announcing that God's Eye assisted driving system would be standard across all models. At this launch event, BYD implemented the concept of "making good technology accessible to everyone" and announced the creation of an era of Urban Navigation for all, creating a more reassuring travel experience for users: all models can be equipped with God's Eye B assisted driving LiDAR version, with an optional package price of 12,000 yuan. In addition, the functions of God's Eye C will soon undergo a major upgrade, expected to be released via OTA in December this year.
After the launch of intelligent parking safety backing in July last year, the usage rate of God's Eye intelligent parking function increased from 21% at the beginning to 93% now, and the accident rate of intelligent parking is almost zero. Based on confidence in God's Eye technology and a responsible attitude toward consumers, BYD once again took the lead in promising safety backing for Urban Navigation: within one year from today, new users of God's Eye A and God's Eye B, starting from the date of vehicle pickup, and existing owners after OTA upgrade to God's Eye 5.0, can both enjoy one year of Urban Navigation backing. When users use the Urban Navigation function in compliance, if a responsible traffic accident occurs, the direct economic losses that should be borne by the vehicle (including vehicle repair costs, third-party property damage, and personal injury losses) will be directly compensated by BYD.
Compared with the intelligent driving insurance common in the industry, BYD's Urban Navigation backing is entirely free, has no upper limit, and will not affect the commercial insurance premium for the following year. Self-developed China's first 4nm process intelligent driving chip, BYD builds momentum for high-level autonomous driving
The first half of electrification depends on batteries, while the second half of intelligentization depends on chips. At this launch event, BYD重磅 released China's first 4nm process intelligent driving chip — Xuanji A3, which has begun large-scale mass production, supports L3 and L4 autonomous driving, and through the efficient collaboration of three chips, achieves a total computing power of over 2100 TOPS, while also balancing power consumption control and computing power utilization. As China's first self-developed 4nm intelligent driving chip, it represents the highest level of China's intelligent driving chips: automotive-grade 4nm, not only the most advanced process, ranking first in the industry; but also the lowest power consumption per unit of computing power, 20% lower than products of the same level. Xuanji A3 can be deeply optimized in combination with BYD's self-developed algorithms, increasing computing power utilization by 100%, making assisted driving react faster, stronger in handling complex problems, and higher in safety upper limit.
