On February 9, as the winter testing fleet arrived in the heart of the Arctic, where polar night and extreme cold intertwine, Geely Galaxy completed a full-scenario ice and snow long test spanning Sweden and Norway with a total range of over 1,000 kilometers without recharging. This was the first time a domestic brand had completed a transcontinental winter testing challenge to the Arctic Ocean. Among them, Geely Galaxy hybrid family models including the V900, M9, Starship 7 EM-i, Starshine 8, A7, and Starshine 6 completed the thousand-kilometer long test to the Arctic Ocean without recharging. The brand's full lineup also completed the challenge at the Colmis proving ground, the highest-latitude test site on the Eurasian continent. At the same time, three upcoming new models including the Geely Galaxy Warship, as well as methanol-hydrogen power models, also completed their first winter calibration tests in Northern Europe.

Unlike conventional winter testing in China, Geely Galaxy deliberately chose a high-latitude region in Northern Europe this time, directly confronting local extreme natural environments such as high humidity and black ice road conditions that are difficult to replicate domestically, precisely simulating real-world vehicle usage scenarios in cold high-latitude regions around the world. The dual overlay of a high-humidity extreme-cold environment and polar night low-light conditions placed stringent demands on vehicle sealing and anti-fogging, the overall thermal management system, and the environmental perception capabilities of intelligent driving sensors. This was precisely the core purpose of Geely Galaxy's expedition to Northern Europe: to use the most extreme natural laboratory to comprehensively verify the brand's systematic technical capabilities of "global R&D, global validation."
This ultimate challenge of reaching the Arctic Ocean without recharging not only demonstrated the hardcore strength of Geely Galaxy models' range capability, but also confirmed the brand's comprehensive performance advantages across all dimensions. In this winter test, Geely Galaxy carried out multi-dimensional specialized verification around Northern European extreme-cold operating conditions, focusing on winter ADAS (winter active safety function testing), high-humidity extreme-cold environment adaptability, roof box compatibility, ice and snow traction load testing, and winter studded tire and AWD strategy snow calibration. At the same time, low-adhesion road handling stability, overall thermal management efficiency, and vehicle environmental durability and sealing reliability under freeze-thaw cycles were included in the testing, achieving all-around verification of model adaptability and stability under extreme-cold operating conditions.
Behind the hardcore performance are Geely Galaxy's targeted technical breakthroughs and optimization. The brand conducted in-depth calibration of torque management for four-wheel-drive models, achieving millisecond-level torque adjustment and all-terrain adaptability, effectively solving the problem of slipping on ice and snow roads; new energy adaptation technology, advance verification plans for Euro 7 regulations, and defrosting system optimization ensured emission compliance, frost-free windows, and efficient heating under extreme low temperatures and high humidity; and methanol-powered models even achieved ultra-low-temperature cold starts, successfully overcoming the industry's extreme-cold starting pain point. The successful completion of this Arctic winter test laid a solid foundation for Geely Galaxy's technological iteration and upgrading and for building a strong global product foundation.
At present, Geely Galaxy has formed full-scenario testing capabilities covering extreme cold to high heat and deserts to racetracks, including six major test bases: the Hangzhou Bay Central Test Base, the Hainan Hot and Humid Test Base, the Heihe Extreme Cold Test Base, the Turpan High-Temperature Test Base, the European Test Base, and the Yunnan Plateau Test Base, building a global closed loop of "R&D-validation-iteration" to meet the needs of global model development and validation. Geely's global test bases will also be built one after another at home and abroad, with 16 global test bases in total, creating all-weather, all-terrain, full-scenario product development and validation capabilities.
The proactive verification of the limits of new energy technology and the tireless heavy investment in R&D are the core confidence behind Geely Galaxy surpassing competitors and continuing to lead. Standing at a new starting point after January 2026 sales helped Geely Automobile reach the top of the Chinese market sales rankings, Geely Galaxy is turning the philosophy of "global R&D, global validation, all-domain safety" into a high-value experience within easy reach of every user with fearless drive. On its globalization journey, Geely Galaxy has already left a deep imprint of Chinese strength on the Arctic ice fields. This is not only the first global technological "show of strength" after the opening of the "Million Galaxy" era, but also a magnificent expedition completed by China's auto industry on the world's top testing ground. In the future, in every corner of the world, Geely Galaxy will be as safe and reliable as a "local car," building world-class good cars by world standards!
