The matter of Wingzhen L380 being placed under Geely Galaxy has finally been settled. From the repeated collisions before launch to the extreme cold environment test drive, the author believes that the Wingzhen L380 has refreshed the safety standards for an MPV primarily designed for passenger transport. In addition, a brand-new version was recently launched at a new launch event held in Hengdian. Among them, the high-end version, with elements such as Hainan huanghuali ultra-soft aniline leather, is aiming to take on Japanese luxury rivals head-on, such as the Lexus LM, the Toyota Alphard, and the Crown Vellfire, while the mid- and low-end versions correspond to Mercedes-Benz and Buick in the current business travel market, as well as the new energy MPVs launched by a host of sibling manufacturers. At the same time, the author believes that with the addition of the Wingzhen L380, Geely Galaxy's brand influence and brand value will also rise accordingly, and the domestic MPV segment really should become as lively as the sedan/SUV segments.

The Geely Galaxy Wingzhen L380 is priced between 299,900 and 599,900 yuan, with four range versions available: 570 km, 650 km, 825 km, and 805 km. The 570 km Excellence version has a power battery capacity of 100 kWh, and the 650 km Flagship four-wheel-drive version has a power battery capacity of 116 kWh. The power batteries for these two models come from CATL-Geely; the other three high-end versions all have a power battery capacity of 140 kWh, all of which are CATL Qilin batteries.
After the launch event, I also discussed the market positioning and competitors of the Wingzhen L380 with familiar colleagues. The author believes that the Wingzhen L380 is first committed to advancing into the high-end business market, launching an all-out offensive against high-end MPVs under Lexus/Toyota, winning the favor of target customers with similar luxury configurations, better dynamic performance, and a higher price-quality ratio, while also capturing some high-end family users with the reliable safety protection verified by the "multiple collisions before launch."
Although the high-end business market may be governed by "price determines value," previously there were not many competitors in the high-end MPV market, and consumers did not have many choices.
In recent years, with the transformation of the domestic auto market toward new energy, the inherent advantages of new energy vehicles over fuel vehicles have been accepted by more and more consumers, and the price wars of the past two years have helped more people understand that "price ≠ value." As the public's understanding of high-end MPV products further deepens, I believe there will be fewer and fewer cases of "keeping up appearances" in the future, and cars will gradually return to their basic attribute as "transportation tools."
In addition, from the perspective of power battery technology, for example, with this CATL 140 kWh power battery, the charging time from SOC 10% to 80% is already nearly as short as only 30 minutes, which translates to 560 km of range. The Wingzhen L380 comes standard across the entire lineup with a three-zone intelligent strong-purification constant-temperature system, an ultra-wide temperature range heat pump air conditioner, dual PTC auxiliary heating, a CN95 high-efficiency purification filter, an AQS air quality management system, a PM2.5 detection and filtration system, and an active cabin cleaning function. Creating a more comfortable cabin environment is no problem at all. During the test drive in Yabuli, I already experienced the frightening strength of the Wingzhen L380's warmth retention—fast and hot.
The low-end version is equipped with an anion generator, while the high-end version is also equipped with a dual anion + water ion generator, an intelligent fragrance system, an intelligently controlled heating and cooling constant-temperature refrigerator, and more. In terms of creating a more "luxurious" cabin environment, the Wingzhen L380 also has the strength to catch up with and surpass its high-end Japanese rivals.
In terms of the intelligent cockpit, for example, high-speed 5G in-vehicle network, six-zone intelligent voice assistant, Flyme Link boundless connectivity, whole-vehicle OTA upgrades, 50 W front-row wireless phone charging, and a second-row multi-function high-definition camera with physical shielding are all standard across the entire lineup.
